According to folklore...
Minnesotans are tall, blond and so warm as to compensate for the typically frigid weather. Somehow, I never did get a photo of any one of them in their natural habitat.
Recently, while strolling through the University of Minnesota campus, I came across one such specimen.
So impressive and cosmopolitan did she look that even a heavy tripod couldn't keep my hands and my camera from shaking. I dashed to West Photo, which was conviniently close, and rented a gyrostabilizer.
With that effort applied, I got a few photos before my hands froze solidly to the grip of the motor drive.
My subject cheated and kept her hands warm, most probably chuckling at the antics of the photographer.
Luckily for me, after the shoot the young lady warmed up my hands in hers.
