Subject: Detour to the backyard

Gentlepeople -

I just got off of the phone with Gamini, having given him marginal directions
to my house. Most notable difference is that one stopsign (second one in
my directions) is actually a stoplight. Guess I forgot about the progress
around here.

Anyway, to all -

I believe that the exit you guys usually take (Co Rd 70) is closed for
construction. I don't know for sure as I've been taking a different route
during the construction season.

While I'm sure they will have a fine detour marked, here's the route I
would take ..... (it's verbose but simple ... summary at end)

Get off of 35 on Co Rd 50 (about 5 miles north of the Co Rd 70 exit. I
believe it's the begining of the construction zone on 35, so it get's you
out of that also). After exiting 50, turn left. You'll be in a rather
busy little strip mall kind of area, a 45mph zone and there will be a
couple of stoplights around there.

Continue on 50 to the first stopSIGN. Go straight, and in about 3-4 (or so)
miles, there's a stopLIGHT (McDonald's, couple of gas station/store thingies).
This is Dodd Blvd. Turn right.

Go down Dodd across the tracks, and straight to the first stopSIGN (about
a mile ... this is 210th st). Straight through the intersection and you're
almost there. Mine is the third driveway on your right after crossing
210th st.

It's really not bad at all. Only one turn excluding coming off of the
freeway, and going into my drive.

The Cliff Notes Version -

35W S to 35 S at Burnsville.
35 S to Co Rd 50 (about 3-4 miles past Burnsville)
Left on Co Rd 50 (about 2 miles to the first stopSIGN)
Stay on 50 through the stopSIGN, to the stopLIGHT at Dodd Blvd (about 3-4 mi)
Turn Right on Dodd, and through the next stopSIGN (about a mile)
I'm the third driveway on the right.

I need to make sure everyone gets this. Anyone who reads it, please respond.
I also need Gamini's phone number if he doesn't respond.

Footnote -

A friend has me *almost* talked into a "short" bicycle ride in the afternoon. I
am counting on being home by 4:00, but if I'm not, it'll be soon after. I'll
leave the house unlocked in the unlikely event that anyone is here before I'm
back.

Being as I'm in pitiful condition, you may find me as a sweaty, lycra
covered lump in the yard. Work around me till I come to. If I'm not back
before you get here, have a respirator ready. A Maseusse wouldn't be a
bad idea either.
