Originally, I thought of Naomi as "Mike's Kid". As she grew up and become more interesting company, I took notice of her as an independent entity.

Her main claims to fame (for now) are a sense of humor and enough persistence to become proficient in Russian. She describes herself thus:

i'm a nerd and i read all the time and i am trying to speak russian. i love to eat good food and drink good coffee but i'm terrible at cooking. i'm a total alcohol snob and only like good beer and good wine, red wine,with cheese. and i like people who make me laugh. and i am one of the luckiest people ever because i have amazing parents.

She is certainly fluent enough in Russian to read Tolstoy and Solzhenitzin in original form. She and I are in agreement when it comes to her parents, too.

Earlier in life, Naomi mentioned an intention to dominate the world. Lately, she seems too preoccupied with college work to bother. Well, college work and partying heartily. No wonder she has such a happy smile on her face much of the time.
