When I shop at Farmers' Market, fresh produce is only part of my take. Interesting faces are what makes getting up early worthwhile. As usual, formidable competitors are hovering nearby with cameras of their own.

I am fond of sushi and had, on one occasion, made a picnic of it. Turns out I was not the only sushi fan in that park: a yellow-jacket wasp flew in to share my humble meal.

Mechanical equipment is interesting by its permanence. A tractor from 1950 or a shotgun from 1920 is perfectly useable today, whereas computers or tape recorders half as old are obsolete. On the flip side, that means the pace of improvement is squarely on the side of electronics.
