Q - the genius
behind the camera

Focusing...
[200mm]
Q and Canon F1
Q is an excellent photographer and so I did not mind carrying her tripod. She is the only woman I know who carries rollfilm in her purse and considers a 2 1/4" camera a costume accessory. Lately, she has condescended to employing 35mm as well.
Sid, the punk rock camera Hi-res [135mm]
Michelle's favorite camera used to be Sid, a 1950s Mamiyaflex. Recently she added a 35mm Canon and a 6x4.5 Mamiya SLR to her arsenal.
[200mm]
Unlike the people whose photos show off expensive equipment and little sensitivity, Michelle's art comes straight from her heart and mind. Creating meaningful imagery is her first love, arguing about it is a close second.
Q with a 20 gauge shotgun [90mm macro]
Of course, she does have the technical skills, she just doesn't view them as an end onto itself. In addition to 35mm, 645 and 6x6, she shoots other formats as well. Michelle's own views on the topic might prove illuminating.

Bogen tripod in use Hi-res
Michelle has always put a great deal of effort into her photographs, even in the field. It seemed silly to go to that much trouble and still get an itsy-bitsy negative in the end.
My what pretty eyes you have Miss Photographer, Sir!
Even though her boyfriend kept dragging in FD lenses and extension tubes, she had boldly gone back into the world of rollfilm. Her hapless friend was stuck procuring Mamiya glass.
Big
negatives rule!
"Sure, good equipment helps. However, content is much more important."
Buy a camera rather than makeup, a handgun rather than trendy
clothes and spend time shooting rather than primping
"Oops, gotta run before the light changes."
Gotta have it!
[200mm] Hi-res
This way to her gallery
Go see the photographs that she takes, they are excellent.
