О женщинах
Есть женщины в русской пехотеИх снайперами зовутВрага в перекрестье загонятИ за пол-версты попадутИной их не сразу заметит,Когда в камуфляже ониИ с пулей в башке он закончитСвои беспокойные дни А если их словом обидеть, невежливостью оскорбитьТо лучше бы некультурному на свете … Continue reading
Where to Find the Movie “Oba the Last Samurai”?
I’d like to watch it but I do not see a streaming version available for purchase on-line. Any idea where I could find it? Buying a DVD and waiting for it to be shipped feels like too much trouble.
Last Ditch Innovation: German Delayed-Blowback Rifles
Forgotten Weapons just posted a video I helped produce, Last Ditch Innovation about Gerat 06 and 06H. These eventually became CETME and G3 rifles. As usual, the information presented by Ian is top-notch.
A very special MP40
This submachine gun is not like the others. Can you guess why?
Armed with a gun she made.
Kaitlyn Lemmons is a 07 manufacturer. She made the semi-auto closed bolt PPSh42 that’s in her hands. I was very impressed by the quality of the weapons she produces. Diva Arsenal

Device 06H
Experimental German rifle made in 1944, the first of the roller-lock delayed blowback designes that eventually became CETME and HK .308s. This one is in 7.92×33. It’s crude, simple and works well. Recoil is minimal, with two distinct stages. Sights … Continue reading
1941 Soviet infantry manual in English
My friend Boris Karpa translated this historic manual and made it available in Kindle format (also readable on desktop with viewer programs). He’s an excellent translator and knows the topic, so I can vouch for the accuracy of the translation. … Continue reading
A good fight in a bad cause.
Watching TSA, DEA, FDA and the rest of the alphabet soup agencies gear up their own little armies brings this picture to mind. Not the trained, well-fed and utterly self-serving bureaucrats who do evil for a paycheck, but the naive … Continue reading
Movie review: The Flowers of War
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1410063 Storyline: 5/5 Acting: 5/5 — main and secondary characters all convincing SFX: 4/5 — impressive but a bit unrealistic at times Music: not a notable factor The film gets a lot of story-telling in a two and a quarter … Continue reading
Finally watched the animation “Paths of Hate”
I very much recommend it — amazing visuals and attention to details. Be sure to switch to high resolution before watching.
Movie review: Angry Harvest
Very well done film about a man who is…various shades of good, evil and mundane. The film works out much better than the sum of its parts would suggest, and the ending is very, very well handled. I recommend it. Acting:8 … Continue reading
Movie review: Army of Crime
Army of Crime Plot: 9 Acting: 10 Music: 9 SFX: 8 A very good depiction of the problems faced by civilians who want to survive and fight back against domestic and foreign oppression. Better than most films on this topic.

Anti-tank cannon
Just the item for discouraging armored vehicles from going through your church walls. RPGs are more portable but lack stand-off range. TOW and similar guided missiles harder to come by.
Sometimes the underdog wins.
If we fight, we would likely lose For the foes are strong today But no matter how bad the odds A chance of success remains If we don’t fight but submit Trusting promises, bowing to threats No chance remains anymore … Continue reading

Оружие вмв в руках нашего современника
Один из лучших авторов военной прозы, Вадим Полищук, написал статью про стрелковое оружие Второй Мировой. Весьма дельно, на мой взгляд.
