One of the office workers at Primary Arms
AK with Primary Arms micro red dot on an Ultimak rail, US Palm magazine. It’s nice to work with people who understand their own products. Muffs are MSA Pro-X, same as what I use at home. Looking into switching to … Continue reading
AKMS underfolder with TechSights
I’ve featured TechSights here before. They double AK’s sight radius. TechSights | A-tacs
One possible fighting rifle configuration
Friend’s Bulgarian AK with Aimpoint Hunter red dot on an Ultimak rail, Ace stock. The red dot looks big — as it should for the wide field of view — but it is very light and the rifle as shown … Continue reading
Morgan
Tomboy. Sharpshooter. Little girl who cleans up well for pictures. Morgan is 17.
Aimpoint Hunter on a Vepr
With a Humvee, the model doesn’t have to worry about caving in body work. Aimpoint Hunter | Vepr
Anime-grade cuteness
This demure young lady is all concentration once on the firing line. And, once done with her course of fire, all smiles. Above, 16″ Vepr in 7.62×39. And yes, she’s only 14.
CZ527, the beautiful little performer
Nice wood, excellent single set trigger. Not my gun, unfortunately. I borrowed it from a friend’s father. The father shoots it with handloads and gets consistent 1MOA groups with it. He uses it without a bipod, I added that just … Continue reading
Tricking out an AK
My friend’s Bulgarian AK clone with Insight MRDS on Ultimak rail, Ace M4 SOCOM stock. It remains streamlined and AK-simple, but the speed of target acquisition and recoil control improved. The changes added very little weight.
vz58 in anti-Communist hands
The rifle is from Czechpoint.
Aperture sights for AK rifle
While notch and post sights work reasonably well with young eyes and select-fire weapons, aperture sights are usually preferred for semi-auto rifles. In the AK world, that includes Valemt, Galil and the new Russian AK12. Tech Sights and Texas Weapon … Continue reading
Pistol in a garter is silly. That’s where spare magazines go.
From Czechpoint photo shoot. In this instance, I’d worry more about the Gorgon stare and less about the minor firearm factors…
Useful AK accessories
1. Ace M4 SOCOM stock — better cheekweld, adjustable length of pull, very robust. 2. AK boltface tshirt by which other members of the gun tribe may know you.

He’ll be back.
Makeup by Tirzah. Converted Saiga with Tech Sights — even a Terminator likes the long sight radius.

Saiga
Суровая Снегурочка. 7.62×39 Saiga with Tech Sights.
Pretty is as pretty does
I used to view vz58 as a quaint design roughly analogous to AK47, but uglier. I’ve since become a fan: the rifle is shorter than an M1 carbine and no heavier, while shooting a more potent round with mild recoil. … Continue reading

Shooting well at age 11.
Went to the range with friends today. Tried their guns and let them try mine. Fond out, for example, that .223 soft points don’t feed well from GI magazines but work just fine from PMags. (Firing on clays set up … Continue reading
Best tools for riot control
A single lawful person with the will and the means to open fire would have stopped the UK pogroms in seconds. Mobs seldom loiter once repeating firearms are heard nearby…casualties among the rioters would have been instructive to their cohorts … Continue reading
vz58
vz58 from Czechpoint. The gun and the magazines are lighter by far than any 7.62×39 AK variant. Shown with AFG2 and Primary Arms “M3″ red dot. The sight mount is see-through for the iron sights. Ribbed part of the stock … Continue reading
