Thanks for the post. I posted on a JOBs facebook group for the Free State Project. I did not see NH mentioned in the job post. I assume you have inside knowledge.

  2. Lyle says:

They want a degree? I’m out. My only degree is from the university of real life over 40 years in private business in complex mechanics and design. That makes me ineligible. When someone says they need degreed applicants, it means they don’t know how to determine good from bad, and they need a way to cover their asses after they’ve made a wrong choice.

  3. Stephen says:

Could be Ruger. Not sure about serving elite operators but def more of a family company.

  4. revjen45 says:

    “Good government” is an oxymoron.

  5. Ed says:

How badly do you want to live in New Hampshire?
They tout that they are not as bad as Massachusetts, but many Massachusetts natives have migrated north, taking their attitudes and sensibilities with them. Since New Hampshire does not have a state sales tax or income tax, they rely heavily on property taxes instead.

  6. Paul Koning says:

For one thing, NH still has decent gun laws, though they could stand improvement. (Not likely so long as we have a socialist governor.) And yes, we do suffer some from MA pollution. Some of the MA refugees are here because they don’t like MA politics; others are here and want to bring that junk with them.

Re Lyle’s comment: I agree exactly. As a tech company co-founder, I know that you look for ability, and while a degree might give you a small hint, it certainly is neither necessary nor sufficient. To pretend otherwise is to suffer from the Howard Dean disorder. 🙂

If you’re sufficiently interested, you might apply anyway, if they have some functioning brains they will overlook that stated requirement. A lot of job opening listings are basically boilerplate, written by HR drones. Often the actual hiring managers know better and will apply sane criteria.
