As you say it’s unconventional but functional, though I still wish they offered a model that came from the factory with the pistol grip and adjustable buttstock. To me being a legitimate, light weight and affordable AR alternative carries more sway with me than being able to fold it.
This is the SU16 variant I’ve been most strongly considering.
