I need to find another stock/cheek piece rise like this OR find a stock that has that built in. Any suggestions on the brand and model?
That looks like the Enidine Shot Stock, correct?
Does it need to have that extension that hangs out forward of the stock?
If not, the Magpul CTR or MOE stock with a cheek riser might be a good choice. It looks like a tall one, so the 0.75″ riser would be a good starting point.
MOE riser doesn’t really protrude forward. I need something like this but with more forward protrusion:
I think I got you on this. Emailing you pictures now
The cheek riser in your top picture looks like it’s the CAR-15 model from Cherokee Accessories. (www.cheekpieces.com) They also make a model to fit M4-style stocks.
I haven’t seen any others that extend so far forward. Hope this helps.
I have several different models on different rifles.
I’ve got a similar AR15 stock(no buffer) on my AK, I’ve been using a MOE stock with a Riser. It seems to be the most solid setup. I’ve also used the MFT battlelink stock with their riser, it works well but the riser is somewhat flexible.
I would go with the magpul, it is the simplest and most solid, also if you go with a CTR you’ll pick up the locking mechanism and the rear flush cup sling mounting point.
T6 stocks make me cry….especially when put on a beautiful VEPR.
If funds are available, a MagPul UBR stock will also work with the riser mentioned by Adam H. However, MagPul does not mention this on their website, or product information, due to the UBR’s intended use on an AR-15-pattern rifle – and that employing said riser would interfere with the platform’s charging handle. I, for one, can verify it works well with side-charging systems like the AK (and, more to my personal experience, the Sig 556 series rifles) with the appropriate stock adapter, of course.
You may wan to check this VEPR prototype here: http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115058
I believe VEPR is not available for sale yet, but the stock is.
