Installed that barrel on a 12ga 870. It points just about perfectly, just need to verify zero with slugs.

A lot of shotgun shooting depends on stock fit. Your eye is the rear sight and must be in the proper place every time. If the gun doesn’t fit, you won’t hit. A pattern board will show you what’s going on and adjustments can be made from there. Everything previous posters have said is correct. Watch the bird, not the sight and don’t stop the gun.
