With magnum shells, the full KSG load of 15 shots adds up to a whole pound (!) of lead. With reduced recoil 1oz loads and straight stock, KSG becomes a very comfortable shotgun.

This man has a KSG and I don’t. He should be smiling, at least a little.
The only downside to the KSG is the plastic lower rail tends to break when using a vertical grip.
I will have to shoot mine more and see if that happens.

The KSG shotgun is nice looking.
I wonder if the Surefire M900A vertical foregrip/tactical light would be a better option for the front.

Oleg, you’re taking some great photos and writing good pieces for KelTec that get me interested. I want to try and buy a KSG and PMR-30 but they just aren’t on the shelves! The most recent article on KelTecs website about the KSG is from January…of 2011. Can you pass along any information about when the common man could buy some of these great guns?
Well, as much as I want a KSG I was able to just walk into my local shop and buy a Saiga, so I guess I’ll just have to settle for 12 rounds I don’t have to pump, at least until my 20 rd drum comes. Come on Kel-tec, make them faster!!!
My local dealer told me that Kel-Tec says late 2014 til they catch up on orders for the KSG’s. So I will imagine that I will never really see one. Or two PMR-30s in the same place.
i held a KSG the other day. brand new. had a sign “not for sale”
conveneienty, they had TWO pmr-30s in stock. $395 seemed a bit steep though. latest and newest model. heh :>
15 rounds? The KelTec web page you linked to says 6+6+1 which adds up to 13, at least in decimal.
From KelTec’s web page:
“Even with this compact size, the internal dual tube magazines hold an impressive 6 rounds of 12 gage 3″ shells each, for a total capacity of 6+6+1 (7 per tube if using 2-3/4″ shells). ”
The rounds in Oleg’s picture are 12/70 or 2 3/4″ shells, thus 2×7+1=15.
